ShadowSpar is a mobile and web platform for combat-sports training, coaching, and nutrition tracking, operated by WANSI LTD ("WANSI", "ShadowSpar", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from users of our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Services"), why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you.
This Policy applies to everyone who visits our website, creates an account, or otherwise interacts with the Services, including visitors browsing without an account, registered students, and registered coaches. Where obligations differ by account type, we say so explicitly.
By creating an account, browsing the Services, or otherwise using ShadowSpar, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Services.
When you create an account or otherwise use the Services, we collect information you choose to give us, which may include:
When you use the Services, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, including:
If you use in-app features such as workout tracking, the AI Motion Coach, or nutrition scanning, we process fitness-related data you choose to share, including workout history, punches thrown, estimated calories burned, self-reported body-composition goals, and food photos submitted for calorie estimation. This data is used solely to power the features you use and to personalize your experience — it is never sold, and is not used for purposes unrelated to providing the Services without your separate, explicit consent.
Because Coach accounts operate a public-facing profile and offer paid services to other users, we collect additional information from coaches, including: full legal name, date of birth, nationality, country of coaching operation, city or address (used to rank your profile for nearby students), phone number, declared combat discipline(s) and years of experience, a biography you provide, government-issued identification and a live selfie for identity verification (see Section 7), and banking or payout details required to send you weekly payouts for 1:1 sessions booked through the platform.
Coach profile information that you mark as public (name, discipline, bio, verification badge status, and public statistics such as number of students) is visible to all visitors of the Coaches directory and Community feed, whether or not they are logged in. Government ID, selfies, banking details, and other verification materials are never made public and are accessible only to the limited WANSI personnel and verification vendors who need them to perform the verification and payout functions described in this Policy.
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
All payments on ShadowSpar — subscriptions, coach plans, and 1:1 session purchases — are processed by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. When a student pays for a private session, funds are held by WANSI via our Stripe platform account until the session has taken place, after which eligible amounts are included in the coach's next scheduled weekly payout. WANSI does not take a commission on 1:1 session payments; our revenue from coach accounts comes solely from the applicable coach subscription fee described in our Pricing.
Free trials (including the 3-day coach trial) require a valid payment method at signup. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, your payment method will be charged automatically at the applicable subscription price when the trial period expires, and on each renewal thereafter until you cancel.
All Coach accounts must complete identity verification before receiving a verified badge, and we may require it prior to a coach's profile becoming publicly listed. Verification is performed using a combination of automated document- and face-matching technology operated by a third-party identity verification vendor and, where needed, manual review by WANSI personnel. Verification materials (ID documents and selfies) are used solely to confirm identity and are retained only as long as necessary for verification, fraud prevention, and applicable legal recordkeeping requirements, after which they are securely deleted in line with our retention schedule.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) to keep you signed in, remember your language preference, understand how the Services are used, and — where permitted — measure the effectiveness of our marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect the functionality of the Services.
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. After account closure, we retain information for a limited period to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention, after which it is deleted or anonymized, except where longer retention is required by law.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to maintain safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information involved.
WANSI LTD and its service providers operate internationally. Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than the one in which you reside, including countries that may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect information transferred internationally.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to: access the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your information; object to or restrict certain processing; request a portable copy of your data; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can exercise many of these rights directly from your account settings, or by contacting us using the details in Section 16. We will respond to verified requests within the time required by applicable law.
The Services are not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, WANSI LTD acts as the data controller for your personal information, and you have the rights described in Section 12 under the General Data Protection Regulation and UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — WANSI does not sell personal information as defined under that law. Residents of other jurisdictions with applicable data-protection laws have the rights afforded under those laws, and we will honor valid requests accordingly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice within the Services before the change becomes effective. Continued use of the Services after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, you can reach our privacy team at privacy@shadowspar.com. WANSI LTD is the entity responsible for the processing of your personal information described in this Policy.
